Sometimes, Trauma…

And sometimes

the trauma is hidden in cell-seeds

trapped in shoulder stories,

or the anxious rope tale

of your skipping

stomach”.

Sometimes, Trauma leaves a residue in the body that shackles freedom.

Sometimes, Trauma invades memory, leaving you with intrusive fragments.

Sometimes, Trauma impedes the brain, and you can’t move – or you can’t sit still.

Sometimes, Trauma leaves shame you can’t name and a story you have yet to tell.

Sometimes, Trauma is carried as personal “failing”, with symptoms misinterpreted as weakness.

And Sometimes, people get the right help, and Trauma becomes the story they are liberated from, and the source of their future power.

Sometimes, Trauma… is an organisation offering a range of support for survivors of trauma – from practical psychoeducation, individual therapy and online groups. It also seeks to support therapists working in this field.
